Southwest Shakespeare Company is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization. We appreciate every dollar given and we put every dollar to good use. Ticket revenue covers less than 50% of the cost of mounting a production. Students state-wide pay $7 to see a matinee performance which may cost up to $28 per student to produce. We look to the generosity of community members, businesses, foundations, and government agencies to make up these shortfalls.

We want to hear from you! Get involved! If you’ve ever wondered how a show gets from the page to the stage, here’s your chance! Have you wondered what happens to the props and costumes? We have a Shop/Costume/Prop Warehouse that frequently needs to be straightened and sorted and swept! Do you have a particular skill or interest you would like to share?

If you are interested in joining our roster of volunteers or in receiving more information about volunteering, please complete our Volunteer Application and we’ll get in touch with you as soon as possible.

We also have working board committees and welcome community members to all of them. Read more about them and let us know if you would like to get involved by marking the appropriate committee box on the Volunteer Application.

Actor Christopher NothOur annual fundraiser was a tremendous success in 2009. Actor Christopher Noth of  LAW & ORDER and SEX & THE CITY joined the festivities, auctioning off memorabilia from both shows. We thank the generous guests, sponsors, donors, staff and volunteers who made this event the fundraiser of the season!
