Welcome our new Director of Education!

Angee Lewandowski is excited to take on the mantle of Education Director at Southwest Shakespeare Company. With 30 years of experience teaching middle and high school theatre and English Language Arts, as well as serving as an Instructional Specialist in which she coached educators to use best educational practices, she is excited to bring her educational experience and deep love of Shakespeare to this position. Angee earned her B.A. in Secondary English Education from Arizona State University and her M.A. in Theatre and Communications from Northeastern Illinois University.

Angee has been involved with SSC since 2001 when she first brought students to see a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream and immediately knew she needed to get involved. In addition to creating materials for our educational program, she has volunteered in a variety of areas with the company and recently served as Costume Designer since December of 2024. She is looking forward to continuing and growing SSC’s tradition of making Shakespeare accessible to learners of all ages!
