About Southwest Shakespeare Company

For over 30 years, we've been Arizona's standard-bearer for classical theatre. Our mission is to elevate, educate, entertain, and inspire communities in the Southwest. Through captivating performances of timeless works, we foster inclusivity and a love for Shakespeare's genius. Join us as we continue our transformative journey in the world of classical theatre.

Southwest Shakespeare Company opens doors by exploring the impact of language through the vibrant and passionate performance of works of classical theatre. We exist to elevate, entertain, educate, and inspire the general public and educational communities of Arizona and the Southwest.

SSC’s vision as the premier classical theatre company in Arizona is to help build an awareness of the classics that positively impacts our multiple communities. A culturally knowledgeable, engaged community has the best chance to become a caring and humane community. SSC has a major role to play in making that happen in the Southwest.
